Meet Author Benjamin Coward

Growing up in the heartland of Missouri, author Benjamin Coward first discovered the thrill of world-building through role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and books in Christopher Paolini's The Inheritance Cycle.

In his debut YA fantasy novel, Benjamin masterfully creates a realm where relatable characters fight evil opponents and overcome struggles through teamwork and self-trust.

With a bachelor’s degree in environmental science and now living and working in north central Florida, Benjamin’s love of nature and history often seeps into his storytelling, enriching the fantastical worlds he creates.

What is your favorite food?

Spaghetti.

What is your preferred drink?

Coke.

If you could live in any fictional town, city, or world, what would it be?

The SHIRE!

What’s your biggest fear?

The unknown.

What’s your favorite genre?

Fantasy.

What’s one piece of advice you wish you’d known when you first started writing?

Be brave and don't be afraid that you aren't good enough.

What was the first piece you ever wrote?

My first actual piece was The Dragon's Tooth.

What’s your favorite board game? Cards? Group activity?

Monopoly.
