Hannah started writing in 2023. When a friend suggested it during extended maternity leave, she loved reading anything romance. She lives in the UK with her young family.

When she's not working, she's at a soft play, theme park, or board game.

To date she has released two urban romantasys: The Undercover Agent and the Lycan and the sequel The Undercover Agent and the Time Travelling Witch.

She loves hiding personal information in her writing. Many of the dates, names, and places mean a lot to her. Her daughter’s names are Morgan and Paige, the main characters’ names in the books. She’s currently working on a new series that mixes historical romance with paranormal fantasy.

Meet Hannah Hitchcock:

If you could be friends with one character in your debut novel, who would it be? Why?

I’m writing the sequel and final instalment of The Undercover Agent and the Lycan trilogy.

The character of Bella Vladislav is my new favourite. She’s an evil Vampire whose unpredictable and randomly bursts into singing nursery rhymes. She’s fun to write to, and being her friend would never be boring, although she’s too much of a psychopath to have friends.

What is your favorite food?

I’m a big foodie, but I would say sushi right now.

What’s your favorite genre?

I rarely read anything other than romance, it’s by far my favourite especially when you add magic, I’m a big romantasy fan.

Do you have any inspirational quotes you live by?

My old school motto was Quod justum, non quod utile.

This is Latin: "Do what is right, not what is easy." It’s always stuck with me; I find myself saying it a lot when I’m working.

What’s your favorite board game? Cards? Group activity?

I’m a big board game fan. I love Cluedo/Clue and Chess.

What is one kind of character (baker, ghost, strong female character) that every book you enjoy has in it?

I think, as a romance fan, I have to fall for an MMC. It's probably more about personality or how he treats her than looks, but if I don’t end up falling for him with her, then it's a disappointing read.

What’s the biggest plot twist you never saw coming? (In any form of media)

I’m a big Harry Potter fan, and as a child, I never saw the Professor Snape twist (my daughters are just getting into it, and I can’t wait for her to find out she hates him) or the Peter Petigrew twist. I think J.K. Rowling started my love of shocking twists and secrets.

What’s your favorite show to binge-watch?

Currently, it’s Bridgerton on Netflix—I can’t begin to think how many times I’ve watched it. I actually like that it’s very different from the books because it’s like watching an alternative universe to the characters I loved in the books.
